Protecting Children at Home

Our riders are on the streets and in our communities every day – and can play a vital role in keeping people safe and being a force for good.

Although lockdowns are now easing, children may still be spending more time at home than usual and have limited contact with wider support networks.

Our partnership with the NSPCC was prompted by one of our riders who contacted them after becoming worried for a child’s welfare. As a result, action was taken to ensure the child’s safety and thousands of Deliveroo riders are now receiving the NSPCC’s vital training, It’s Your Call, helping them recognise children at risk of abuse and neglect.

To raise awareness of the NSPCC helpline, Deliveroo riders promoted the number on their delivery bags and we’ve also delivered hundreds of free meals to the NSPCC helpline staff to say thank you for their hard work keeping children safe during Covid-19.

"It's fantastic of Deliveroo to take this positive step with us – together we believe everyone can play a part in keeping children safe."
